India is set to modernize its navy through a major corvette acquisition program worth ₹40,000 crore. Built domestically by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Goa Shipyard, the ships will replace older fleets and enhance operational capabilities. The initiative strengthens maritime security and supports indigenous defense manufacturing.
