A contract has been awarded to OSI Maritime Systems for the delivery of navigation solutions for the Portuguese Navy’s six upcoming offshore patrol ships of the Viana do Castelo class. The company’s Integrated Navigation and Tactical System (INTS) is required by the agreement to help the fleet’s “paperless” transits at sea. The Canadian company’s flagship Electronic Chart Display and Information System 7 (ECPINS 7), which adheres to NATO’s bathymetric, water space, and tactical symbol standards, is a component of the technology.
