Airbus Defence and Space has been awarded a contract by the French defense procurement agency (DGA) to create a communication network for the French surface and underwater fleets. The 480 million euro ($502.7 million) project will include the assembly, deployment, and operational maintenance of the capability, which will be integrated into over 80 ships between 2028 and 2032.
