Diehl Defence has formalized a support contract with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) aimed at increasing the effectiveness and deployment of IRIS-T short-range air-to-air missiles on RTAF combat platforms.
This agreement signifies a new stage in the fruitful partnership between Diehl Defence and the RTAF for IRIS-T missile operations.
For Diehl Defence, the contract is a further milestone in reinforcing collaboration with the RTAF and extending IRIS-T integration to other aircraft.
The IRIS-T, a fifth-generation missile, is already operational on Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen, F-16, EF-18, F-5, and Tornado fighters.
The process of integrating the IRIS-T with the KAI KF-21 is currently in progress.
