The P550, AeroVironment’s latest unmanned electric VTOL aircraft, is being pitched for the US Army’s long-range reconnaissance program. Its modular architecture allows for rapid, tool-free adaptation in the field, supporting a range of missions from surveillance to strike. The drone is a Group 2 UAV, weighing 21–55 pounds (10–25 kg) and operating up to 3,500 feet (1,067 meters).
