Gentex Corporation’s newly released LX9™ Liner System is set to improve combat helmet comfort and functionality. Engineered for lightweight use and compatibility with most ground combat helmets, the LX9 includes breathable, absorbent padding and a new brow pad design. It uses a 9-piece foam and EPP set and fits seamlessly into helmet interiors with standard Velcro fixtures. This upgrade not only enhances airflow and reduces heat spots but also supports modern communication gear. The US Army is expected to receive more than 18,000 of these liners by 2025 for use in NG-IHPS helmets.
