Germany has selected the Joint Strike Missile for its F-35 fleet through a bilateral arrangement with Norway worth $642 million.
Parliamentary approval was granted on June 4, joining Germany with four other nations using the missile.
The deal is due to be officially signed by mid-2025.
Under the agreement, Norway will act as the purchasing intermediary with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.
This follows Germany’s previous use of the same procurement model for NSM Block 1A systems.
The new missile purchase complements ongoing cooperation on the upcoming Tyrfing hypersonic missile.
