As part of an agreement signed in 2022, Bollinger Shipyards has delivered the first mine countermeasures unmanned surface vehicles (MCM USVs) to the US Navy. The package includes the first three platforms of the initiative, which were constructed at the firm’s plant in Lockport, Louisiana. The project includes the manufacture of nine drone ships, with the possibility of up to eighteen more systems depending on the demands of the force.
