A $304 million transaction for AN/TPS-78 long-range radar to Egypt has been authorized by the US State Department. Along with associated gear like KIV-78 cryptographic devices, GPS devices with selective availability anti-spoofing modules, and spare and repair parts, Cairo requested an unknown quantity of the Northrop Grumman radars from the US.
