As part of a modernization initiative agreed upon in 2023, the Estonian Defense Forces received 4×4 and 6×6 military trucks from Volvo. The Volvo fleet, which integrates the company’s 44R and 66R systems, is one of three groups acquired by Tallinn to improve the military’s ground-based vehicles for logistical and tactical purposes. The most recent platforms are 5 to 6 meters (16 to 20 feet) in length and have a payload capacity of 13,600 to 20,800 kg (29,982 to 45,856 pounds).
