Fincantieri, through its subsidiary e-phors, has signed a contract with the Italian Navy to enhance cyber protection across naval platforms. The program will integrate advanced cyber monitoring and response tools into ship management systems, enabling crews to detect, assess, and counter cyber threats in real time. Building on previous deployments aboard Bergamini-class frigates, the initiative strengthens mission security as naval platforms become increasingly digitalized. The effort is part of Italy’s broader naval modernization strategy, which also includes new surface combatants and specialized vessels.
