The U.S. Army is advancing its modular drone defense capabilities with a $26 million contract awarded to Danish firm MyDefence. The historic deal marks a significant step in deploying wearable counter-UAS systems globally, amid rising drone threats.

The agreement features MyDefence’s Soldier-Kit, a 1.3-kilogram wearable system that combines the lightweight “Wingman” drone detector with the “Pitbull” jammer. Designed for tactical mobility and real-time threat response, the system allows soldiers to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones without compromising maneuverability.

This partnership reinforces U.S.-European defense cooperation and highlights the growing importance of agile anti-drone technology in today’s battlefield. Field tests conducted by U.S. European Command in Germany demonstrated the system’s adaptability in joint operations.
