“The Philippines has reached an agreement with French ship manufacturer OCEA for the delivery of 40 rapid patrol boats (FPBs) to its coast guard.
According to the agreement, the fleet will be based on the company’s exclusive FPB 110 MK 2 design, which will include integrated logistics support and maintenance services in the shipments.
The platforms will join five other systems delivered to Manila under different contracts between 2017 and 2020, one of which is the 84-meter (276-foot) BRP Gabriela Silang, the company’s first big offshore patrol boat constructed for the coast guard.
