The Medium Protected Medical Vehicle (referred to as mgSanKfz in German service), which is based on the EAGLE 6×6, was officially delivered to the Bundeswehr by General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) on July 4 during the medical exercise ILÜ San 2025, which took place in Feldkirchen, Lower Bavaria.
The vehicle may carry a crew of four, but it also has the option of bringing an emergency physician along to provide the best possible medical treatment.
The mgSanKfz has modern medical equipment and a flexible stretcher loading system that allows for the safe transportation of one or two patients.
The driver’s cab and the transport compartment are both protected from the numerous hazards found on today’s battlefields.
The mgSanKfz sets new standards for this class of vehicle thanks to its powerful 229 kW diesel engine, its sturdy frame with EAGLE-typical De Dion suspension, and third-axle steering.
