Western Baltic Engineering, a Lithuanian shipbuilder, has unveiled the conceptual design of the Perk?nas (Thunder) class patrol boats for the Lithuanian Navy. The project’s milestone aligns with Vilnius’ goal of using contemporary maritime security assets that incorporate “state-of-the-art” capabilities to address gaps in infrastructure protection and specialized operations. The initiative calls for each vessel to be 88 meters (289 feet) long and have a 17-meter (56-foot) beam.
