Two agreements totaling $1.4 billion have been signed between Northrop Grumman and the United States and Poland for the delivery of air and missile defense gear. The first agreement is worth $481 million and will last five years. It will offer software development improvements to the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) for the US Army’s Aviation Missile & Technology Consortium. Northrop Grumman will combine Polish sensors, the UK’s Common Anti-Air Modular Missile system, and model-based systems engineering with artificial intelligence (AI) in order to improve IBCS capabilities.
