Norway has confirmed the procurement of British Type 26 Global Combat Ships, marking its largest-ever naval investment. Built by BAE Systems, the advanced frigates are optimized for anti-submarine warfare but can also conduct air defense and surface strike operations. With quiet propulsion systems, advanced sensors, and modular mission bays, the vessels will significantly boost Norway’s ability to operate in the North Atlantic and strengthen NATO naval deterrence.
