Oman’s Ministry of Defense has purchased “several” ships from Bangkok-based shipyard Marsun as part of its naval expansion efforts. The contract, signed in Muscat by Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, the secretary general of the Omani Defense Ministry, includes unspecified ship types intended to “improve the capabilities of the Royal Navy of Oman.”
