Pakistan has officially commissioned three 2400 TD hovercraft into its Marines, reinforcing its ability to maneuver in the difficult creek zones of southern Sindh. The step aligns with Pakistan’s broader naval modernization goals, emphasizing flexible, high-speed response options in littoral and estuarine settings.

During a recent inspection, the Chief of the Naval Staff reviewed combat readiness and inaugurated the hovercraft at forward posts in the Creeks Area. The Pakistan Navy noted that these new platforms enhance amphibious mobility, coastal surveillance, and the capacity to execute rapid insertions and extractions in areas inaccessible to traditional vessels.
