The Finnish company Patria has provided the Royal Norwegian Navy with modern acoustic minesweeping equipment. With the first batch delivered early last year, this signifies the conclusion of Norway’s 2021 order of SONAC ACS systems at an undisclosed price. The Finnish systems will now be in charge of minefield clearing as part of Oslo’s mine countermeasures capabilities, taking over the role following the navy’s decommissioning of its ELMA-AGATE sweep.
