Pelican, a prominent US company, has launched new protective cases specifically designed for the US Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program. This new line safeguards modern small arms such as the SIG Sauer M7 rifle, equipped with the XM157 Vortex optic, and the M250 light machine gun. These weapons will replace legacy platforms including the M4 and M249, offering superior range, lethality, and integrated digital capabilities. Pelican’s cases are custom-engineered to keep weapons secure and fully mission-ready even under harsh field conditions. Each case features a rifle frame mechanism that securely locks weapons during transport and storage, alongside custom foam compartments tailored for magazines and cleaning kits. The design process included direct input from soldiers to optimize usability in the field, incorporating stackable frames, ergonomic handles, and quick-release latches. Additionally, the modular frame system allows adaptation for other rifle models, supporting the Army’s planned expansion of the NGSW platform across various units.
