“Leidos has signed an $87 million contract with NATO’s Communications and Information Agency to build a centralized IT solution employing private cloud technology to improve the alliance’s cybersecurity and network resilience.
According to the agreement, Leidos will head a multinational team that includes Thales in France, CGI in Germany, Leonardo in Italy, and UK-based LA International and NEXOR.
The initiative seeks to enhance network scalability and aid NATO’s overall digital transformation initiatives.
To improve interoperability and command effectiveness, the system will integrate essential capabilities, such IT service management and cybersecurity, throughout NATO’s operational network.
“This initiative reflects our long-standing commitment to NATO, leveraging innovative solutions aimed at delivering secure, mission-ready capabilities designed to adapt with operational needs,” said Steve Hull, president of the Leidos digital modernization sector.
“It also opens up new avenues for deeper integration of trans-Atlantic defense networks, enabling NATO teams to remain safely connected and able to exchange vital data with increased speed, agility, and confidence,” he continued.
