Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) has launched the Finnish Navy’s first Pohjanmaa-class multi-purpose corvette in Satakunta.
The event saw the vessel transferred from its assembly center to a dock basin, marking the final phase of outfitting prior to its delivery and commissioning into the force.
Helsinki is scheduled to put the system into service by 2027 and its sister ships by 2029.
The initial corvette’s hull was completed in February 2025, with its first steel for construction cut in November 2023.
