Saab has been contracted to provide the Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System (UTAAS) sighting and fire control system for the Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90) infantry fighting vehicle. As the original equipment manufacturer of the CV90, BAE Systems Hägglunds awarded the 700-million Swedish kronor ($63 million) contract. Because UTAAS was created exclusively for the Combat Vehicle 90, Saab and BAE Systems Hägglunds have a close and enduring connection.
