The second Miguel Malvar-class guided-missile corvette for the Philippine Navy was launched by Hyundai Heavy Industries. The ceremony, which took place in the South Korean port city of Ulsan, is a component of a 2021 deal for two ships to augment the force’s current Jose Rizal-class frigates, which were also built by Hyundai. The BRP Diego Silang (FFG-07) was transferred from the shipyard’s dry dock to the water for the first time at the event.
