The T-12 CUAS system represents India’s effort to develop indigenous solutions for countering the growing threat of small unmanned aerial vehicles. Developed by SSS Defence, the system is designed to provide soldiers with a portable weapon capable of quickly neutralizing hostile drones. The system includes specialized optics for rapid target acquisition and ammunition tailored for drone engagement. Unlike jamming systems, kinetic solutions like the T-12 physically destroy the drone, ensuring immediate threat neutralization. In modern battlefields where drones are frequently used for surveillance and attacks, such soldier-level counter-drone capability has become essential for protecting frontline units.
