ST Engineering has marked another milestone in Singapore’s naval modernization with the keel-laying of the Republic of Singapore Navy’s second Victoria-class Multi-Role Combat Vessel, to be named RSS Valour (89). Construction of the vessel began in April 2025, following the launch of the lead ship RSS Victory (88) in October 2025. The Victoria-class program includes up to six large platforms designed to combine traditional frigate capabilities with those of an unmanned systems mothership. Measuring 150 meters in length, the vessels will be the largest warships ever operated by Singapore and are equipped for anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare. Deliveries are expected to begin from 2028 as construction progresses at ST Engineering’s Jurong shipyard.
