MBDA UK has been contracted by Sweden to supply Meteor active radar-guided missiles for the JAS 39 Gripen C/D supersonic combat aircraft used by the armed forces. Since 2016, the weapon has been utilized in Stockholm’s military and is installed on its Gripen, Rafale, and Eurofighter fleets. This year, MBDA, the owner of the Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) system, is expected to provide the additional warheads.
