Thales has been awarded a contract by the French defense procurement organization to provide hybrid networking equipment for French Army vehicles. The modular kits offer access to high-speed commercial communication services, such as OneWeb and 5G, allowing for connectivity in a variety of tactical scenarios. They complement other connection methods under the ASTRIDE 3 program, such as the most recent satellite terminals, high-capacity line-of-sight communications, tactical software-defined radios, and digital wireless services.
