Thales has reached an agreement with Naval Group to deliver cutting-edge sonar systems for the Royal Netherlands Navy’s next generation of submarines. They will be installed on the Orka-class submarines, which are scheduled to take the place of the Walrus-class ships now in use. By identifying, locating, and categorizing underwater threats at a range of ranges and frequencies, the sonar suite improves situational awareness.
