As part of the Future Mine Countermeasures System (SLAMF) program, the French Navy has received its first mine warfare surface drone. The drone has a towed sonar that connects to a portable operations center in Brest, France’s second-largest military port. The system is expected to achieve initial operational capability by the end of 2025.
