The U.S. Navy gave Raytheon Technologies (RTX) a $590 million follow-on production contract for the creation and implementation of the Next-Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) system. The goal of this curriculum is to improve the Navy’s electronic warfare capabilities by successfully breaking enemy radars and communications, hence shortening targeting ranges and breaking enemy kill chains. The electronic warfare capabilities of EA-18G Growler planes will be enhanced by the installation of the NGJ-MB system, which will be used in military operations.
