3D-printed dark ceramics that can withstand harsh environments may soon be used in America’s hypersonic planes and missiles. The Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI) researchers are investigating the usage of additive manufacturing to create dark ceramics, which are perfect for hypersonic vehicles because of their durability and improved resistance to degradation. According to reports, the team can create dark ceramics in precise shapes and sizes with high-resolution surfaces using digital light processing (DLP) 3D printers.
