During Talisman Sabre 2025, a major joint exercise between the U.S. and Australia, U.S. Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (VMM-363), part of Marine Rotational Force–Darwin 25.3, executed an aerial delivery of HIMARS ammunition pods using an MV‑22B Osprey in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Conducted on July 16, 2025, the mission showcased seamless air-to-ground coordination and enhanced interoperability. The MV‑22B tiltrotor aircraft, designed by Bell Boeing, combines vertical lift with high-speed flight capabilities, making it ideal for rapid logistics support in austere and contested environments. The platform can carry up to 9,000 kg internally or 6,800 kg externally, with speeds exceeding 430 km/h. Its ability to operate from unprepared zones and quickly transition to forward flight makes it especially suited for time-sensitive, dispersed force support.
