Mobility evaluations for the Challenger 3 tank have concluded successfully, led by RBSL and supported by QinetiQ. The pre-production vehicle traversed 789 km of diverse terrain, with testing focused on crew ergonomics, vibration impact, and ammunition handling. Data from the trials will refine design and support production readiness. Scheduled for operational service by 2030, the 148-unit fleet incorporates modular armor and relies on a European supply chain across the UK’s West Midlands, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Isle of Wight.
