The US Navy has entrusted CACI International with a $416-million, five-year task order to enhance and maintain its IT systems under the Naval Sea Systems Command, reinforcing efforts to modernize maritime maintenance and fleet readiness.
The award, made through the SeaPort-Next Generation program, will support the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution, a key initiative designed to improve logistics and maintenance workflows for submarines and surface vessels.
CACI will utilize Industry 4.0 technologies, Agile software development, and the Agile Solution Factory methodology to modernize legacy systems, moving them into a unified, cloud-first IT framework.
The project aims to strengthen operational efficiency, enable data-driven decisions, optimize resource use, and reduce fleet maintenance costs.
Modernizing IT remains central to improving naval readiness. Similar initiatives include General Dynamics IT’s $988-million C5ISR modernization contract, Sev1Tech’s $49-million contract for cybersecurity and engineering services, and Agile Defense’s $44-million Military Sealift Command IT upgrade.
