Eureka Naval Craft of the US and Strategic Marine of Singapore are jointly developing a new class of modular warships tailored for the US Navy and partner fleets in Asia. The lead design, called the Aircat Bengal MC, is a 36-meter (118-foot) surface effect ship with capabilities usually assigned to much larger corvettes and frigates. Compact yet versatile, it can conduct troop transport, landing operations, drone launches, electronic warfare, and mine countermeasure missions. By combining modularity with advanced design, the project aims to offer cost-effective, mission-flexible solutions for allied navies operating in contested regions.
