Rheinmetall has been contracted by Germany to deliver training simulator systems using the Distributed Naval Training Architecture (VTAM). Rheinmetall will implement VTAM’s hardware and software in six German naval bases, establishing a network training environment to improve the preparedness and coordination of naval personnel. The Naval Support Command’s Distributed Training Center in Wilhelmshaven, northwest Germany, will be in charge of coordinating technical networking and training activities.
