Skiftech, a Ukrainian developer of defense solutions, has been given a contract by the US Department of Defense to develop laser-based simulation technology for the military. The agreement is a component of the service’s effort to increase the usefulness of its current Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS), which uses laser transmitters in place of ammunition for live weapons training. In collaboration with the Army Contracting Command in Orlando, Florida, Skiftech will be working on the project through March 2035.
