Firestorm Labs has secured a $100 million contract with the US Air Force for its little unmanned aerial systems. The contract requires the California-based startup to provide its flagship drones, accompanying support services, and research and development for various uses. Firestorm now markets the Tempest 50, a platform created using proprietary 3D printers called xCell, which has the potential to facilitate the quick manufacture of drone components at a temporary site close to a war zone.
