US-based Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has introduced ROMULUS, a new line of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) powered by the company’s Odyssey Autonomous Control System. The largest of the family, the ROMULUS 190, is being built with Breaux Brothers, Beier Integrated Systems, and Incat Crowther. The 58-meter vessel, designed on a scalable commercial hull, is expected to reach 25 knots, travel over 2,500 nautical miles, and carry four 12-meter ISO containers.
