ARX Robotics of Munich has received a new order to supply more Gereon unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine, a move that will accelerate Kyiv’s deployment of what is poised to become the world’s largest integrated robotic ground force. The Gereon UGVs already in service have been operating along the front lines, supporting a variety of battlefield missions.

The growing fleet will be linked through ARX’s Mithra operating system, enabling fully integrated, multi-robot coordination. Production for the program is split between European locations and Ukrainian facilities, where local partners are increasing capacity to improve delivery speed and enhance industrial resilience.

The system was co-developed with Ukrainian firm Frontline as part of a European-Ukrainian defense initiative that incorporates real-time user feedback. ARX reengineered its established Gereon RCS chassis into a combat-capable configuration equipped with AI-powered autonomy.

Built for challenging environments, the Gereon UGV can carry loads of up to 500 kilograms over distances reaching 40 kilometers. Its flexible design allows it to support frontline logistics, casualty evacuation, and forward surveillance roles. The platform improves operational effectiveness while reducing manpower requirements across diverse mission sets.
