Austria’s Schiebel has unveiled the Camcopter S-301, a weaponized VTOL unmanned helicopter designed for land and naval operations. Revealed at UMEX 2026, the 485-kg platform builds on the S-300 series and supports up to 110 kg of payload with endurance of up to 10 hours. It can be launched without specialized infrastructure and rapidly reconfigured between ISR and strike roles. The S-301 was displayed carrying Thales laser-guided rockets and can also host ISR sensors and electronic warfare payloads. Full autonomy, redundant navigation, and emergency recovery systems support operations in contested environments.
