Diehl Defence has entered into a partnership with Latvia’s Ripo Remonta Centrs to establish a joint venture focused on supporting ground-based air defense systems in the Baltic region. The agreement includes maintenance, repair, and technical support for systems such as the IRIS-T SLM, which is being procured by Latvia and Estonia. The initiative aims to create a regional service hub in Latvia, improving response times and ensuring efficient lifecycle support for deployed systems. The agreement was formalized during a meeting between Latvian and German defense officials, highlighting growing defense cooperation in Europe. The venture will play a key role in strengthening regional air defense readiness amid increasing security concerns.
