EDGE Group and Anduril have launched a joint venture to design and build next-generation autonomous air systems, beginning with the Omen hover-to-cruise AAV. The UAE has already ordered 50 units, enabling rapid scaling of domestic production and strengthening local supply chains. Anduril will contribute advanced software and autonomy architecture through its Lattice platform, while EDGE will provide regional manufacturing expertise and regulatory alignment. The Omen’s design supports long-range, runway-independent missions capable of carrying heavy payloads for military, commercial, or humanitarian uses. The collaboration continues the UAE’s expanding defense ties with US industry, following previous acquisitions of F-35s, MQ-9 Reapers, guided munitions, and joint co-production programs with Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.
