The UAE’s EDGE Group and France’s Safran Electronics & Defense have signed an MoU to jointly develop and commercialize next-generation smart weapons. The partnership will combine EDGE’s manufacturing scale with Safran’s expertise in navigation and guidance systems, initially enhancing existing air-to-ground capabilities and potentially expanding into surface-to-air systems. The agreement supports EDGE’s broader strategy of international collaboration and export-focused defense growth.
