“GA-ASI has won a $99.3 million deal to design next-generation drones for the US for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike operations.
The main highlight of the GHOST program was a “hybrid-electric propulsion ducted fan,” which indicates that the drone being developed will have extended endurance and ultra-silent operations in disputed regions, even if the specifics of its capabilities and design are still kept under wraps.
The work for GHOST, which is scheduled to be finished in August 2028, will take place in Poway, California.
