
General Dynamics has won a $12.4 billion contract to aid in the construction of two more Virginia-class attack submarines for the US Navy.The agreement, which was initially scheduled to be awarded in 2024, will cover SSN-812 (USS Baltimore) and SSN-813 (USS Atlanta), both of which are in the Block V configuration.The funds will be used to increase productivity at the company’s shipyards, including expansions to its personnel.
