Germany has finalized a €2 billion ($2.3 billion) agreement to acquire Spike anti-tank missiles from Israel through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA).

The contract was signed with EuroSpike, a Bavaria-based joint venture led by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems of Israel, with Rheinmetall Electronics and Diehl Defence collectively holding an 80% share.

In addition to the missile delivery, the deal includes maintenance, training, technical assistance, system integration, and support documentation.

The Spike missile family, operated by more than 40 countries, can be deployed from shoulder launchers, vehicles, aircraft, or naval platforms, offering ranges from 50 to 50,000 meters (164 to 164,042 feet) depending on variant.

Most Spike production takes place in Europe, enabling Rafael to bypass certain export restrictions applied to Israeli-manufactured weapons.
