The NATO Support and Procurement Agency has awarded Iveco Defence Vehicles a three-year contract to lead concept development and field testing of robotic and autonomous systems (RAS). Under this initiative, the Italian firm will integrate unmanned ground and aerial platforms to demonstrate real-world operational capabilities. Coordination across systems will rely on a unified and advanced command-and-control architecture, connected through designated network nodes for full interoperability. NATO end-users will actively participate in both shaping the system’s design and evaluating its battlefield performance, with the goal of establishing scalable, integrated RAS solutions for future NATO missions.
